Halloran, PhD, and August Reader, MD, a San Francisco ophthalmologist,
helped conduct clinical trials back in 1995 using key elements of the
Better Eye Health Program. Patients were treated with a combination of
microcurrent stimulation, color therapy, acupressure and acupuncture.
Dr. Reader evaluated these patients both before and after the treatments. While he found no improvement in the control group of untreated patients, he did find a marked improvement among those who were treated with the Better Eye Health Program. The results were impressive, with 89% of the treated patients showing significant improvement. This improvement included the ability to read at least two additional lines or better on standard eye charts.
Dr. Miller compiled the results of his first 120 patients, where he found that 80% of the patients had significant improvements in their vision.
